Open Up and Turn Towards Challenging Letting Go States ~ Shinzen Young
Shinzen talks about some challenging states of "letting go" as equanimity including "the icky sticky creepy crawly doesn't really hurt but I can't stand it", or "samadhi pain". He speaks about shedding one mechanism - tighten up and turn away, for open up and turn towards, and the sometimes difficult and vulnerable intermediate stage between as "the price one may have to pay" for moving to the next deeper level of well being. Filmed in Nov. 2009 at Mt. Carmel Spiritual Centre in Niagara Falls.
