Funicolare Monte Bré, Nuove carozze

DE: Die Standseilbahn Monte Brè ist eine historische Bergbahn in Lugano im Kanton Tessin, die seit über einem Jahrhundert Besucher auf den malerischen Monte Brè bringt. Die Strecke beginnt im Stadtteil Cassarate, unweit des Luganersees, und führt in zwei Abschnitten hinauf zur Bergstation auf 933 Metern über Meer. Dabei überwindet die Bahn auf einer Länge von rund 1,6 Kilometern eine beeindruckende Höhendifferenz von 629 Metern, mit einer maximalen Steigung von etwa 60 %. Die Geschichte der Bahn reicht bis ins Jahr 1908 zurück, als zunächst die untere Sektion von Lugano-Cassarate nach Suvigliana eröffnet wurde. 1912 folgte dann der zweite Abschnitt bis auf den Gipfel des Monte Brè. Ursprünglich wurde die Bahn von der Stadt Lugano betrieben, doch seit 2001 ist sie in privater Hand. Trotz verschiedener Modernisierungen hat sie ihren historischen Charme bewahrt und gilt heute als eine der schönsten Bergbahnen der Schweiz. Im Januar 2025 wurden die Wagen der zweiten Sektion der Standseilbahn Monte Brè nach fast 40 Jahren Betrieb durch moderne Fahrzeuge ersetzt. Die neuen Wagen wurden von der Firma CWA Constructions SA in Olten gefertigt, während Garaventa AG für den Bau des Fahrgestells und die Projektleitung verantwortlich war. Die elektrischen und elektromechanischen Steuersysteme wurden von der Firma Sisag AG entwickelt. Die Installation der neuen Wagen erfolgte zwischen dem 13. und 15. Januar 2025 mittels eines Kraneinsatzes. Am 15. Februar 2025 wurden die neuen Fahrzeuge offiziell in Betrieb genommen. Die neuen Wagen kombinieren ein nostalgisches Design mit modernster Technologie und bieten Platz für bis zu 70 Personen. Zudem sind sie vollständig barrierefrei gestaltet, um den Zugang für Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität zu gewährleisten. In January 2025, the carriages of the second section of the Monte Brè funicular were replaced with modern vehicles after almost 40 years of operation. The new carriages were manufactured by CWA Constructions SA in Olten, while Garaventa AG was responsible for the chassis construction and project management. I nuovi veicoli sono stati realizzati dalla CWA Constructions SA di Olten, mentre la Garaventa AG si è occupata della costruzione del telaio e della gestione del progetto. I sistemi elettrici ed elettromeccanici di controllo sono stati sviluppati dalla Sisag AG. L'installazione dei nuovi vagoni è avvenuta tra il 13 e il 15 gennaio 2025 con l’ausilio di una gru, mentre la loro messa in servizio ufficiale è avvenuta il 15 febbraio 2025. I nuovi vagoni combinano un design nostalgico con tecnologie all'avanguardia e possono ospitare fino a 70 passeggeri.
