The Korean War (1950-1953) created not only a military alliance but also a deep-rooted bond between the two countries that would last for generations. Koreans have a very special word to describe this friendship: "Hyeolmaeng" (혈맹), meaning "Blood Brotherhood." Today, we visited our heroes who stand eternal guard thousands of kilometers away from our homeland so that we can celebrate the holiday in peace. Their sacrifices on the battlefield and the stories of humanity they left behind are the greatest reason for the great love and respect the South Korean people feel for Turks today. In this video, I share the atmosphere of the Busan Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery and the story of this historical blood brotherhood that connects our two countries.
