The FedRAMP Call-to-Action to FSCAC

Established in February 2023, the Federal Secure Cloud Advisory Committee (FSCAC) recognizes input from industry and federal agencies to advise the GSA Administrator on ways to improve FedRAMP. Past recommendations have have included several pain points that matter to all FedRAMP stakeholders: reducing the barrier to entry for small business cloud providers, developing agile operations to reduce FedRAMP certification costs, reducing FedRAMP certification queue timelines, and improving the security package quality from cloud providers before it gets into the hands of FedRAMP reviewers. These recommendations were mostly made in oral discussions during FSCAC public meetings. In 2026, the GSA Administrator's representative wants something more tangible— a roadmap for how agencies can increase FedRAMP certified cloud solution adoption and reuse. However, a big part of that is asking FSCAC to facilitate a framework where private industry aligns itself before approaching the government.
