I loved Panther!!! Panther PLUZ was right near Ya Ha Tinda and I am so glad I went back to explore this area on my last day around Calgary for my trip. Yes those were all wild horses on the roadside!! I got a bit nervous at the start of our trail ride when there was the small herd right at the river crossing. A wild stallion is not something to take lightly. Luckily the herd moved on although Sedona wanted to join them. I got her attention back and then we continued on our ride. Due to a late start I didn't get to do the longer loop that I was hoping, but that's okay it was a beautiful day out exploring the trails. Many of these trails (the wider ones) are maintained by Alberta Wagon Trekkers! Pretty cool! They take horses and wagons out on the trails to campout and enjoy the backcountry. Enjoy!
