[HD] Busy Action on the CSX Mohawk Subdivision Feat. CN, BNSF, SD70 Leaders & More 7/17/25

It's been a minute since I last visited the Mohawk Subdivision. Almost 7 years to be exact. For old times sake, I decided to make the trek out to Amsterdam station. I certainly wasn't expecting the day to be so busy, with a total of 31 freights seen between 5am and 9pm. Amtrak showed out as well with 3 different heritage/special painted P42s. I can't lie it really felt like the old days back in 2015/16. While more of a quantity over quality type of day, there were still a few noteworthy catches. A pair of SD70MAC leaders on what I think to be an M410 and empty coal train E730 were highlights. I017 had the 3194 Law Enforcement unit leading. M364 had a nice CN SD70M-2 and ES44DC trailing. I159 had the only YN2 leader of the day in the form of AC4400 #450. Probably the highlight of the day was what I thought I heard to be a G108/M627 combo with three BNSF GEs up front followed by an empty grain train with two mid train CSX DPUs and a cut of manifest at the rear totaling 186 cars. For my first time out to Amsterdam and Fonda in almost 7 years, I can say I was left very satisfied. Thanks for watching!
