The bereaved family of the late Lee Chae-won, who was stabbed to death on her way home last month, has urged that the perpetrator be sentenced to the maximum legal penalty. Lee Chae-won's parents issued a statement yesterday (1) saying, "The perpetrator, Jang Yoon-ki, who brutally trampled on our daughter's precious life and future, deserves not an ounce of sympathy," and added, "We hope that severe punishment will demonstrate that judicial justice is alive."
