*must try places* JAPAN food diaries 🍙 🍜 🍣 (8 days in tokyo)

Hi, I'm Tiffy :) Recently I fulfilled one of my dreams of taking my parents to Japan. It was my mom’s first time in Japan and seeing my parents experience all the amazing food, culture, and scenery made my heart so full. We were in Tokyo for 8 days and stayed in the Ginza area. We started off the trip by exploring Tsukiji Market and got to taste some fresh seafood, wagyu beef with uni, strawberry mochi, and more! We spent around 3 hours here just exploring and eating, and I cannot think of a better way to start the trip. The next day we visited Senso-Ji temple and Kappabashi street. For dinner we went to Kora sushi and had such a fun time trying conveyor belt sushi. On the third day of our trip we explored Ginza and had omakase for dinner. Trying omakase in Japan has always been a bucket list item of mine and this exceeded all my expectations. We went to Uraonikai located in Ginza and it was such an intimate and warm experience. This was definitely the best sushi I have ever had! The following day we went to Roppongi Hills and the views from here were breathtaking. We stumbled upon a restaurant that served unagi and it was so good we decided to come back again the last day. Gyukatsu and Ichiran Ramen are definitely two must try places when you are in Tokyo. Some might say it’s over rated, but I loved both of these restaurants and they satisfied all our cravings. When in Tokyo, you have to visit Shinjuku and Shibuya. We had so much fun shopping and experiencing Shibuya Crossing. We did so much walking during this trip, we were averaging 20,000 steps everyday! We ended the trip with one of my favourite meals, Monjayaki! It was so cool watching the chef cook up the food right in front of us, and of course the drinks were also delicious!
