Showmatch - Programa 04/07/16

Program aired on eltrece, Monday, July 4, 2016. JULIO IGLESIAS Jr. WAS ELIMINATED, AND STREET POP AND CRISTINA K ARRIVED This Monday, July 4, Pamela Sosa was saved by the public vote, and three couples inaugurated the new rhythm of Dancing 2016. In addition, the former president gave a speech alongside her political entourage. TWO COUPLES FOR ONE SPOT At the start of the program, Marcelo introduced the two couples who had been eliminated by the phone vote: Pamela Sosa-Alejandro Gallego and Julio Iglesias Jr.-Julieta Vacarelli. As happened in the elimination round, the Spanish singer was absent from the gala, and the dancer represented him. IT'S TIME FOR STREET POP Federico Bal and Laura Fernández kicked off the third rhythm of Dancing 2016 with a choreography to Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money." Before the show, Marcelo learned of Federico Hoppe and Laurita's separation. "This weekend we decided to take some time apart so we could both have some peace," she confirmed. Meanwhile, Fede Bal addressed the legal situation he's facing with his ex, Barby Vélez: "I filed a complaint so the case can move forward. I'm calm, waiting for the judge to call me." When Marcelo asked him about the possibility of dropping the charges, he was adamant: "I considered it at one point; there was a lot of love, but it's irreparable. I understand now that her aim is to ruin me. And for her to cling to the 'Not One Less' movement is pathetic." After the performance, Ángel De Brito (6) was the first to give his feedback: "I really liked the beginning, although from now on I'm going to be more demanding with the scores." Carolina "Pampita" Ardohain (secret vote) remarked: "I love that they use all their resources. The ending was impressive, and I thought they were very polished." Moria Casán (7) asked them for a little more energy: “Last year you gave me goosebumps, and now I'm missing that spark. I think you're still carrying the weight of what's happening to you. You have to go out there and explode.” For Soledad Silveyra (10), they were impeccable: “It's been a sad year for you, but you surprised me wonderfully. Congratulations.” For his part, Marcelo Polino (5) added: “Coming here is like watching a soap opera. The work is good, I liked it, but don't always overuse the same tricks.” Total: 28 points. LAPORT, MORE ACTOR THAN DANCER The second couple of the night, Osvaldo Laport and Macarena Rinaldi, performed Bruno Mars's “Locked Out of Heaven,” which also didn't garner good reviews from the judges. “I saw it as more acting than dancing; I liked it up to a point,” judged De Brito (5). “There were some ups and downs in the energy,” Pampita observed (secret vote). “It was the best I’ve ever seen them. They improved on all the tips I gave Osvaldo,” Moria noted (8). “A marvel. I share Moria’s praise,” Solita added (9). “I didn’t like it. There was too much acting and not enough dancing, as Ángel said,” Polino concluded (3). Total: 25 points. MILITTA PROGRESSES SLOWLY Next, Militta Bora and Iván Anriquez took to the dance floor to perform “Focus (Ktvnes remix)” by Ariana Grande. Beforehand, the rocker shared details of the panic attack she suffered at the gala where she collapsed and of her passionate encounter with soccer player David Solari. Then, De Brito (5) began the feedback round: “I see progress.” “I think it was your best performance yet, Militta.” Pampita (secret vote) noted: “The improvement is remarkable, and you can tell they rehearse, but they need to refine their footwork.” Moria (6) pointed out the same thing: “Militta’s footwork is off, and it gives her a strange gait.” Solita (8), on the other hand, liked it: “Very good, Militta, you’re improving show after show.” Finally, Polino (5) stated: “Militta is going for the unusual, but she needs to change her persona, otherwise she’ll get boring.” Total: 24 points. CRISTINA’S RETURN After arriving in Buenos Aires, Cristina (Fátima Florez) appeared in the studio and gave a speech accompanied by her son Máximo (Christian Alonso), her sister-in-law Alicia (Gladys Florimonte), Luis D’Elía (Claudio Rico), Fernando Esteche (Juan Amarilla), Amado Boudou (Mauricio Jortack), and Guillermo Moreno. (Freddy Villarreal) and José Ottavis (Bicho Gómez). THE PEOPLE'S VERDICT Finally, the public decided with 51.07% of the votes that Pamela Sosa would continue in the competition. Thus, Julio Iglesias Jr. became the second contestant eliminated from Dancing 2016.
