This time, we went on a road trip to Akan Town in Kushiro City. First, we went to a roadside station to have lunch and visit a shrine. We went to Yubetsu, a town that flourished as a coal mining town, but had to give up going any further due to the winter road closure. We quickly visited the historical archives, which were on the verge of closing, and then went straight to Akanko Onsen. We looked at the beautiful moon and Mount Oakan at Lake Akan at night, and recovered our stamina with some Hokkaido food.
