It's The End of the Adventure, But I Really Want to Stay! Riding from the Calf of Man towards Port St Mary, I stopped off at Cregneash, an amazing village that is now a living museum. The blacksmith asked about Betsy and invited me to look around his workshop. What a treat it was. Back on the road the gentle tump thump from Betsy’s exhaust matched perfectly to the relaxed way of life. As they say, all good things come to an end, and it was time to head for the ferry and home. Back home and after some number crunching, I’ve got the cost for the IOM tour. I initially planned to stay for 1 week, but liked it so much I added a second week, this brought the costs for 2 weeks to Ferry 154 return Campsite 156 Food on camp 67.27 Café 100.66 Fuel 64.66 giving a total of 542.59 all in The big surprise was how much the coffees and cake cost! Note to self… buy a flask! Thankfully Betsy was less thirsty. She did a total of 1050 miles on £64.66 of petrol coming in at £0.06 pence per mile. If I had stayed for one week the ferry would have been the same at 154, campsite would have been 78 and let’s halve the rest, so the total would have been about 341 Grab a cuppa and let’s go.
