Slalom for beginners - Level 3
How to get free of the boat and understanding power control. A continuation of level 2. How far you move your mass over the edge of the ski through the wake will (holding the default level 1 position) determine your speed and glide on the other side of the wake. Experiment with more lean making sure you feel the pull and pressure coming from your outside elbow as this is where you control the control. NO ELBOW CONNECTION = ERRATIC POWER CONTROL AND UNSTABLE SKIING. WITH CRASHES BEING MORE LIKELY Resist your outside shoulder and hips being pulled round instead use the pressure to feel the acceleration in the direction of travel. Note that as you pass behind the boat the pressure will change to being much more equal between your elbows connected to your lower rib cage. maintain the connection all the way through the glide.
