This route is not for the average - GRAVEL RIDING
It's been 30 days since Unbound 200, and I've been itching for a new adventure. It's also my son's 18th birthday, and my family is driving to Banning, California, where my in-laws have a house in the desert and we'll be celebrating together. So I came up with what I thought was a great idea: Why not ride my gravel bike all the way there? And of course, I'd take the gravel route... because climbing over mountains would somehow make the trip faster. Or so I thought. What followed was an unforgettable ride filled with adventure, unexpected challenges, and plenty of exploration. The plan was Sub 6 i finish in 7 hours and was a bit late to the party.
