Tombak Academy by Ziya Tabassian - Level 2, ep. 1 – How to play reh (r) and leh (l)

Tombak Academy by Ziya Tabassian Level 2, ep. 1 – How to play reh (r) and leh (l) Tombak is the main percussion instrument in Persian music. The name of the instrument comes from the two basic sounds of the drum : the Tom and the Bak. In the second level, we are adding more sounds to the basics sounds that we learned in the level one (Tom, me, bak and ke). In this video we learn how to play the reh (r), played with 5 fingers from the right hand and leh (l) played with 4 fingers from the left hand. These two sounds will eventually make the “Riz-e Por” (full roll) or “Riz-e Noh Angoshti” (roll with nine fingers) and also the “Eshareh” (ornament) before Tom or before Bak.
