Singer 201-2-3 Rewire warning.

The electrics on a 201-2 and 201-3 will be in need of rewiring because the vulcanised rubber that was used to insulate the wire has long since perished at 60 to 90 years old now. Though the actual rewire is very straight forward for an electrician or someone is competent with electrics it has clear dangers for someone who hasn't and the machine should be passed over to someone who is competent to rewire. Colour coding is the total basis of electrics and when advised that one colour does all (just the colour of the wire which is usually black). I feel is very incorrect and always colour code all my machines as per wiring diagram supplied by Singer that use a simple Red, Black, Yellow system, so simple a child could reconnect the wires.
