Clad in large sheets of waved Galvalume steel and moulded cement plates, Unemori Architects maximised the striking House Tokyo's 26m2 plot size by incorporating varying ceiling heights and a mix of open and enclosed spaces. Spread across two levels, the semi-basement ground floor houses a bedroom, bathroom, storage area, and a laundry tucked-away beneath the stairs. The first floor is dedicated to the open plan kitchen, dining and living area which features a slim-line sofa suspended from the lowered ceiling. Lauan ply cabinetry extends beyond the first floor and floats overhead the basement level and entrance landing, providing storage for the shoes.
