Hello everyone, and welcome to my channel! 😊 In this video, I continue my large-scale project of renovating an old gate and fence. After preparing and restoring the masonry pillars and the fence foundation in the previous part, it was time to work on the metal sections of the gate and fence. This video was created in collaboration with Irkom, which provided the products used for this project. Products used in the video: • Irkom Degreaser M: https://irkom.rs/proizvod/odmascivac-m/ • Irkom 3-in-1 Metal Paint: https://irkom.rs/3u1/ • Irkom R1 thinner: https://irkom.rs/proizvod/r1-razredji... • Irkom 3-in-1 Metal Spray Paint: https://irkom.rs/sprejevi-2/ The metal parts were covered with old paint, rust, and dirt, so the first step was to prepare the surfaces thoroughly. In the video, you can see how I removed loose layers of old paint and rust, cleaned and degreased the metal, and prepared it for a fresh coat of paint. For painting, I used Irkom 3-in-1 Metal Paint in a matte black finish, which can be applied directly to a properly prepared metal surface. To protect the fence foundation and the surrounding surfaces, I made a simple cardboard template that I placed around the metal bars while painting. For the small and hard-to-reach details that were difficult to paint with a brush, I used Irkom 3-in-1 Metal Spray Paint. In the video, I also show how to prepare the spray can correctly before use and how to clean the nozzle after painting. At the end of the video, you can see how the metal parts of the gate and fence look after painting. This is another completed stage of the overall makeover. The following stages include painting the masonry pillars and fence foundation, as well as replacing and preparing the wooden panels.
