This Pune to Ahmedabad road trip was done on 12th Jan 2022 to celebrate Uttrayan | Makarsankranti | Kite flying with family members in Ahmedabad. The roads are smooth. It's fun to drive on these roads. Congestion is expected in Thane area, Fountain Junction, Junction before Surat. The whole road trip to Ahmedabad was done in 13 hours for 650 kms, with 3 quick stops for petrol / washroom breaks at MacDonald outlets mostly and for quick snacks. We took 1 hour dinner break near Vadodara to try out food at Shree Khodiyar Kathiyawadi. They are not too expensive (Lasun batata and Paneer Masala costing around 150 rupees each sabzi). They give variety of complementary salads and pickels. We loved the food and with other food items ordered, the dinner bill was around 600 rupees for family of four.
