Anguish & Meaning in the World of War: A Marine in I Corps, South Vietnam, 1968-1969

Kernaa Williams Sr. served with "B" Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines in I Corps, South Vietnam, 1968-1969. In June 1968, during Operation Mameluke Thrust, he was seriously wounded and spent more than a month aboard the USS Sanctuary. He shares memories of his thirteen months of service. In the fight in which he was seriously wounded, 6 Marines were killed, 21 received significant wounds, and 2 others received minor wounds.
