Why Our Porsche 915 Transmission Is Stuck In Gear: Revealing The Shocking Issue!

Back at Tec-Nine in Melbourne as we attempt to fix our 915 transmission and gearbox in our RWB Porsche 911 SC and it's jammed and stuck 915 transmission and gearbox. Is the transmission still in the car, can we fix our broken and stuck transmission and gearbox, today is a bit of a surprise and a little shocking. The 915 gearbox was derived from the 916 unit which had been built for competition in the Porsche 908 racer. The 915 made its first appearance on a 911 in '72 with the 2.4 liter engine which had 8% more torque than the previous 2.2. The 915 is a fine competition gearbox; light fast and accessible. Just look at it's racing record - all the 911's successes from the seventies and eighties. But having said that in my opinion the 915 can't hold a candle to the G50 in most circumstances unless it's had a perfect rebuild and perfect setup. The 915 needs to be understood, learnt and treated with respect. Today we open up our transmission and take a closer look inside to find the solution to our RWB Porsche that is stuck in 2nd gear.
