J. L. Moreno's Interview on "The Words of the Father"
He starts from a single question: “Doctor Moreno, do you believe the idea of God is still valid in our times?” To answer that, the creator of modern psychodrama, group psychotherapy and sociometry explains the philosophical basis of his own ideas. After the distant He-God of the Old Testament and the closer Thou-God of love and sweetness brought by the Christ, J. L. Moreno talks about the I-God, “a new communication where God goes through me, through you, through every Me, through millions of Mes”. In this short interview he tells also how he came to that, in a small town close to Vienna, after World War I. This is the story of the roots of his ideas, told in his own voice.
