A diversion to avoid the flood-ravaged areas of the Ozark plateau between St Louis MO and Springfield MO sees me be completely flexible by hopping onto the Katy trail. Hills, heat, humidity, and ho-mi-gosh it was hot as we made our way on the roller coasters heading west from St Louis to link up with the Katy, and then endured sunshine and warm water all the way to Washington.
