Calculator Olivetti Logos 245, a nichel wire and a strange keyboard (1971)
An old calculator, the Olivetti Logos 245. It's a large office machine from the 1970s, with a memory made of nickel wire. It was the era before integrated circuits, so electronics adopted other solutions. But there is also an interesting keyboard with magnetic switches. The audio of the video is automatically translated by YouTube into 21 languages. My original voice is in the Italian and English version. YouTube's translation usually works pretty well, but YouTube struggles to understand names and context, so there may be occasional errors. However, the subtitles are very accurate. If you want to download the documents I show in this video, this is the link to my website. Here you find also other documents. I just started uploading all my documents, it will take a lot of time. But it's free! https://oldtypewriters.net
