I Learned More From Selling 5 Pieces of Art Than 500 Likes

When I was invited to sell my mandala art at an African wedding celebration, I honestly didn't expect to sell much. People weren't coming to buy art. They were coming to celebrate, dance, eat, and spend time together. So instead of only bringing my usual mandalas, I decided to experiment. For the first time, I created handmade necklaces, earrings, and keychains inspired by Adinkra symbols from Ghana. Some pieces sold. Some didn't. But what surprised me wasn't how much I sold. It was what people chose, the questions they asked, and what those conversations taught me about my art. Sometimes, real conversations with strangers can teach you more than hundreds of likes on social media. I hope you enjoy following along on my journey as I continue discovering what kind of artist I want to become. — 🎨 Instagram: @kianas_mandalaarts 🌱Follow my journey creating symbolic mandala art around the world. #mandala #artistvlog #artbusiness #handmade #smallbusiness #creativejourney
