The AA Col route offers steeper and more technical terrain, often requiring a mix of ice climbing and rock scrambling, even in summer. Finally, I got the opportunity to bag Mount Athabasca. I’ve been wanting to do this one for the past few years in winter conditions, but I kept missing the window every season mostly because I was busy chasing other objectives.
