Ka942 Test Runs & First Excursion - July 1990

Some clips of Ian Welch's Ka942 on some test runs. First few clips are on the Glenbrook Vintage Railway. Then onto its first Mainline Test Run on July 7th 1990 with an UC Tank Wagon, FM Van and a DF with dynamic braking applied, going along for the ride. Later on, we get to see 942 on its very first excursion from Auckland to Whangarei and return on July 28th 1990. Videographer Unknown. I obtained this footage from Ian Welch himself when he was doing a clear out a while ago.
