Aussichtreiche Wanderung über Obereggersberg zum Rosskopf im Altmühltal

Hike near 93339 Untereggersberg, a municipality in the town of Riedenburg in the Kelheim district in the Lower Bavarian part of the Altmühl Valley. The hike began at a small parking lot directly off State Road 2230 and led us first to the village of Untereggersberg. From there, we ascended along a path to the village of Obereggersberg. Here, the first highlights awaited us: we visited the castle with its beautiful park, the Kirchfelsen lookout point with a wonderful view of the Altmühl Valley, and the ruins of an old church. From Obereggersberg, we followed well-maintained hiking trails and a section of the Altmühl Panorama Trail toward Altmühlmünster, from where we began the ascent to the Rosskopf. From the Rosskopf lookout point, you once again have a wonderful view of the Altmühl Valley and the surrounding villages, as well as Eggersberg Castle.
