It is taught by the Special Operations Training Center (CIOpEsp) and aims to train soldiers capable of carrying out high-risk missions in extreme conditions with autonomy, endurance, and courage. Course Objective: The Commando Course seeks to develop soldiers' ability to withstand the most adverse stress situations physically and psychologically. The focus is not only on strength, but also on determination, leadership, and emotional control under pressure. 🗡️ Training and Instruction: During the course, students undergo intense instruction that includes: Combat techniques in various environments (jungle, mountain, urban, and nighttime); Survival with limited resources; Long marches with heavy loads; Infiltration and exfiltration operations; Shooting, explosives, and communications; Teamwork and leadership under extreme stress. The routine is extremely demanding, with sleep deprivation, restricted nutrition, and constant physical exertion. The approval rate is very low—most candidates fail or withdraw during the process. In short, the Commando Course is one of the greatest expressions of professionalism and dedication within the Brazilian Army, training soldiers ready for any challenge and committed to the defense of the country, even in the most adverse situations. Commando actions are high-risk, typically aggressive, and short-duration operations, carried out through infiltration by land, air (hook jump or operational freefall), or water (diving or boat). These actions are directed against targets of strategic value located in hostile territory or under enemy control. In general, they are defined by tactical actions: destroy, interdict, neutralize, capture, rescue, recapture, conquer, or occupy. 🗡️SPECIAL FORCES COURSE: The Special Forces Course lasts 27 weeks and is intended exclusively for career Officers and Sergeants of the Brazilian Army who have already completed the Commando and Paratrooper courses. Special Forces are troops specialized in irregular warfare and highly complex operations. Their operations encompass missions such as guerrilla warfare, escape and evasion, subversion, sabotage, psychological operations, and counterterrorism—tasks that require advanced training, discretion, and considerable autonomy. These soldiers are capable of infiltrating enemy territory well in advance—sometimes up to a year before an operation—to blend in with the local population, gather intelligence, identify opponents, targets, and allies, and prepare the environment for subsequent operations. Due to the highly classified nature of their work, Special Forces members operate out of the spotlight and rarely have their identities or actions publicly disclosed. This anonymity is essential to the troop's effectiveness. In short: it's an extensive and selective course that trains elite operators, prepared to operate in hostile scenarios, using specialized techniques and a high standard of professionalism. 👉🏻ESPCEX EXAM: The main stage of the public service exam is the objective exam. In the case of the Prep Exam, it is divided into two days (first day: Portuguese, Physics, Chemistry, and Essay Writing; second day: Math, History, Geography, and English). Candidates who pass the objective exam advance to the next stages. These are not qualifying, only eliminatory (physical aptitude test, health inspection, etc.). 👉🏻The Officer Training Course (CFO) of the Military War Education Line lasts five years, with the first year spent at the Army Cadet Preparatory School (EsPCEx) in Campinas, São Paulo, and the remaining years at the Agulhas Negras Military Academy (AMAN) in Resende, Rio de Janeiro. 👉🏻Upon arriving at AMAN, students are called Cadets after a two-week adaptation period and complete their first year of AMAN, the famous Basic Course. In their second year at the Academy, they choose their Weapon, Corps, or Service (Infantry, Cavalry, Engineering, Artillery, Communications, Quartermaster, or Ordnance). 🎯For those who don't know me, my name is Nicolas.
