To enroll in EsPCEx, you need to bring several materials (assemble a kit) listed in the Enrollment Guidelines. In this video, I talk about what you can't forget to bring and what not to bring for the adaptation period! The EsPCEx (Army Cadet Preparatory School) adaptation period and the presentation day are very important moments for approved candidates. 📍Presentation: Takes place at the end of January in Campinas, at the main gate of EsPCEx. The student arrives accompanied by their family and must have all the required documents, medical exams, and a kit. On this day, there is a reception for the candidates who will continue in the selection process. 🟢 Adaptation Period: Lasts about 3 to 4 weeks, before the effective start of the school year, and aims to integrate new students into the military regime and level discipline. Main activities: drill, hierarchy, regulations, etc. During this period, the candidate goes through the acclimatization to the closed regime (boarding school), being away from their family, which is a great emotional challenge. 👉🏻How the EsPCEx entrance exam works: Day 1: Portuguese, Essay Writing, Physics, and Chemistry. Day 2: Mathematics, History, Geography, and English. Approval criteria: achieve a minimum grade per subject (median) and a sufficient overall average to be among the top-ranked candidates (high competition). Competition: approximately 440 vacancies (360 for men and 80 for women). 📎After passing the written exam, the candidate undergoes: Health Inspection (IS) – medical and laboratory exams to verify physical conditions. Physical Aptitude Test (EAF / TAF) – tests such as a 12-minute run, push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups. Psychological Evaluation (Avl Psc) – verification of the candidate's psychological profile. 👮🏻‍♂️How is the training of a combat officer? 📍 EsPCEx (Campinas/SP) – 1 year The approved student is called an EsPCEx student. They live in a military boarding school regime, with strict discipline and an intense routine. Studies civilian subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Humanities) and military subjects (drill, leadership, field instruction). Objective: to provide an academic foundation and adaptation to military life. 📍 AMAN (Agulhas Negras Military Academy – Resende/RJ) – 4 years The student is promoted to cadet. Training divided into: Basic (1st year): adaptation, physical strengthening and military discipline. 2nd year: choice of Branch, Corps or Service. 3rd and 4th years: EDL, EPCT, TCC, etc. At the end, receives the title of Bachelor of Military Sciences and is declared an Officer Candidate. 📈Career after graduation: The officer candidate is assigned to a military organization in Brazil. After 6 months, is promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. The combat officer's main mission is to lead troops, plan and conduct military operations, and they may serve throughout the national territory and even on missions abroad (such as UN peacekeeping missions). 👉🏻ESPCEx EXAM: The main stage of the public competition is the objective test. In the case of the Prep Competition, it is divided into two days (first day: Portuguese, Physics, Chemistry and Essay; second day: Mathematics, History, Geography and English). Candidates who pass the objective test advance to the next stages. These are not classificatory, only eliminatory (physical fitness test, health inspection, etc.). 👉🏻The Officer Training Course (CFO) of the Military Combat Line of Education lasts 5 years, with the first year taking place at the Army Cadet Preparatory School (EsPCEx), in Campinas (SP), and the remaining years at the Agulhas Negras Military Academy (AMAN), in Resende (RJ). 👉🏻Upon arriving at AMAN (Brazilian Military Academy), the student is called a Cadet.
