Removery’s V.P. of Clinical Operations, Carmen Brodie, has decades of aesthetics and laser experience. In this video, Carmen discusses all the different wavelengths we have at our disposal, and what ink colors they treat most effectively. We use 532nm for warm tones, 785nm and 730nm for cool tones, and 1064nm for black and gray. In Carmen’s view, and in the view of many laser techs, black is the easiest color to remove, while white is the most unpredictable and difficult. She also touches on how ink composition affects laser tattoo removal. Some inks are made with highly-synthetic ingredients, making them much more difficult to remove.
