Coach Says EP.3 With Daddies Golfer: The Simple Slice Fix for Your Game

In this episode of Coach Says: Fix Your Slice Fast, Azis from Daddies Golfer breaks down why slices happen, and how to start fixing them. Most slices come from two things: an open clubface and an outside-to-in swing path. When the club cuts across the ball with the face open, the shot starts left and curves right. Azis starts with the grip. A grip that’s too weak often leaves the clubface open at impact. Strengthening the grip slightly can help the face square up more naturally through the swing. Next is the swing path. Instead of coming over the top, focus on delivering the club more from the inside, allowing the face to meet the ball square rather than glancing across it. To build the feeling, he suggests a simple drill: hit half swings with about 50 balls, focusing on a square clubface and a path that moves from inside to the target. Because fixing a slice usually isn’t about swinging harder. It’s about closing the face, improving the path, and repeating the right motion until it sticks.
