Le strade nell'antica Roma

Roads were a fundamental aspect of Roman civilisation: some 49,709 miles of roads criss-crossed the entire Roman Empire, allowing for rapid commercial and military connections. Rome's cultural and military expansion, as well as the first globalisation of the ancient world, were made possible by the presence of a massive road network that allowed people, goods, and ideas to quickly and easily reach the various parts of the Empire. In this short video, we will discover Roman roads; The journey will allow us to know the different kinds of roads and how they were built, sometimes overcoming natural obstacles.
