楓ちぢみ杢
Here's another material introduction. This time, I'd like to introduce "Maple with Curly Grain." Currently, I'm using the last remaining piece of very fine Maple with Curly Grain in my collection for a piece. However, I also plan to produce other materials for items like pencil wedges and Luce pens, aiming for a price in the 10-point range on my price list. The Maple I'm introducing today is one of those materials. Even within the category of "Maple," there are many varieties. Recently, I've been using sycamore, and although I don't use it for pens, there are many types, including soft maple varieties (including quilted maple), harder hard maple varieties, and Japanese Itaya maple. Among these, one of the charms of Maple is that its curly grain is relatively easy to display. The unique grain, which changes its appearance depending on the viewing angle, will allow you to experience the joy of a wooden pen. I will introduce the finished piece again once it's complete. Thank you.
