Both doctors bring up important elements of this, with doctor Kureha first mentioning the will of d and revealing the true name of gol d roger. In his iconinc speech doctor Hiruluk meanwhile asks the question when people die and connects it to the power of dreams. The overarching symbol for the entire scene and the drum island arc over all cherry blossoms, that carry a number of meanings for Chopper's flashback and the story overall.
