How Much Honey Is Ready? Harvest Prep and Apiary Update

Honey harvest is getting close, so today I’m taking a look at what still needs to be done before extraction day. I start inside the honey house/apartment and walk through the setup, equipment, and preparation needed to get ready for pulling and processing supers. I also open a package of HiveAlive products they sent me and take a quick look at what’s included. After that, I check on the mini mating nuc, then walk through the apiary to look at the production hives, count the supers, and estimate how many are close to full and ready for harvest. This video is less about one hive inspection and more about getting organized, checking progress, and figuring out what the upcoming honey harvest may look like.
