Building Hay Wagons Part II, Decks etc
Part two of making my own hay wagons. The white ash and red oak framing all gets bolted in place to the running gear. I also added a three foot high rear stabilizing apparatus. LOL Used some preservative and Grace Ice and Water Shield adhesive roofing tape to help lengthen the life of the wood on the wagons. I installed the pine board decking, material I had laying around. I used the Woodmizer LT40 to saw the 4"x4"s that support the decking. I welded up my own brackets that attach the back supports to the main carrying timbers. The running gear was Farmco brand. If you are interested in doing your own haying and want to know how to make your own hay trailer, I hope this helps. (sound effects courtesy of iMovie)
