Rebuilding David Bradley Hay Wagon
How we found and rebuilt a pre-1955 David Bradley hay wagon on our farm. We prepared the frame by removing rust, priming and painting; repacked the wheel bearings; mounted our old Jeep tires; built a new wood deck and racks; and added decals. We have already used it now for two years! These running gears were actually made by the Electric Wheel Company in Quincy, Illinois and sold under the David Bradley name by Sears. They were very popular because farmers could put on their used car tires and the rocking bolster allowed the wagon to go over uneven ground without spilling a load easier.
