MUSE - Shimmering Scars (Backing Track MONO Mix)

*All instruments mixed "up front" in the stereo mix are pulled back, revealing quieter and sometimes hidden aspects and arrangements in music with lots of stereo mixing. You'll hear echoes of drums (especially stereo-mixed cymbals and toms) and guitar and lead vocals because a lot of the time, their effects and reverb, either organic or inorganic, bleeds into stereo (left and right channels).* Shimmering Scars is a great track to hear the stripped back mix because the harmonies are absolutely stacked and sound so incredibly beautiful. At 1:11, it sounds like a ticking clock, very similar to the ticking that drives the music in Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar" on Miller's Planet (Ocean Planet). Toward the end, it almost sounds like the chorus is whispered.
