Cleveland Hills | Rudland Rigg | Pockley Moor | Bilsdale

A long and scenic XC ride starting from Carlton Bank heading along the Cleveland Hills, onto Rudland Rigg and Bilsdale via Pockley Moor. The ride then heads up onto Bilsdale West Moor and Carlton Bank with a fantastic descent to finish the ride!! However, if doing this ride on an e-bike, it is possible to do this using the "Walk" mode setting. HOW TO GET THERE: Carlton Bank is approximately 5 miles south west of Stokesley and is reached by passing through the village of Carlton-in-Cleveland (situated just off the A172). From the A172 follow the brown "Lordstones" signposts to reach the top of Carlton Bank - please be aware that the road is narrow and steep with sharp bends at certain points. Although parking is limited on the roadside at the top of the bank on the left hand side, there is also parking available at Lordstones Country Park. Post ride, there is a cafe at Lordstones Country Park while there are pubs in nearby Carlton-in-Cleveland, Faceby and Swainby. There are also cafes, pubs and shops along with other facilities in Stokesley.
