Alejandra Moreno y Moreno will be discussing the importance of art classes throughout our lives, which are undervalued in current curricula but are key to our cognitive development. Event held at the National University of San Martín (Argentina, Buenos Aires) on October 23, 2015 - Music by Sebastián Verea She was born in Olivos, Buenos Aires Province, in January 1977. Since finishing high school, she has worked on animated films, TV commercials, and series, drawing as an animator, assistant, and animation production worker. She has always loved easel painting and fine arts. She studied for a few years at university but then chose to seek out teachers who better suited her particular tastes. She exhibited in Ushuaia alongside established artists and led well-attended workshops. She received first prize in the National Drawing Competition of the Banco Ciudad Foundation. She has also exhibited at the Borges Cultural Center. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
