ZUHAIR MURAD Fall Winter 2014 Paris 4K - Canale Moda

For this Haute Couture collection, Zuhair Murad drew inspiration from the contemporary architectural landscape of Beirut, referencing the work of architects such as Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster, Steven Holl, and the firm Herzog & de Meuron. The collection explored architectural geometry and modern cityscapes through surface decoration and structural details. The silhouettes largely followed classic cocktail and gala dress shapes, while incorporating angular bustlines, asymmetrical hemlines, and overskirts with enhanced volume. The architectural theme appeared most clearly in the textile treatments and embellishments, including stretched wave-like patterns, guipure macramé, and prism-like puzzle motifs. A palette of black, white, and silver emphasized the futuristic tone of the collection. Many pieces featured hammered metallic sequins, creating reflective surfaces that echoed architectural materials and urban textures. Join our community!
