Episode 8 - We Ride Europe's Greatest Alpine Pass! | Timmelsjoch

Could this be the greatest motorcycle road in Europe? In Episode 8 of our European motorcycle adventure, we leave our MoHo motorcycle hotel in Zams and head for one of the most legendary riding roads on the continent – the spectacular Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road. If you've ever wondered what it's really like to ride the Timmelsjoch, this episode is for you. Leaving Austria behind, we begin climbing into the Alps, tackling endless switchbacks, breathtaking mountain scenery and some of the most perfectly engineered roads we've ever ridden. Every corner reveals another incredible view. Every climb makes the scenery even more spectacular. And before long, we're riding one of the most unforgettable roads of our entire 3,000-mile European tour. Crossing the summit, we descend into Italy where, naturally, we stop for lunch before turning around to do something we simply couldn't resist... Ride the entire Timmelsjoch all over again. Because one ride just wasn't enough. Experiencing the pass from both directions gives a completely different perspective, allowing us to appreciate every climb, every viewpoint and every sweeping bend that makes this road so famous amongst motorcyclists from around the world. But the day isn't over yet. On our return to Austria we stop at the world-famous Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum in Hochgurgl, home to one of Europe's finest collections of classic and historic motorcycles. It's the perfect way to finish what has become one of the greatest riding days of our entire adventure. By the time we arrive back at our hotel in Zams, one thing is certain... The Timmelsjoch has taken the top spot as our favourite Alpine pass so far.
