Beitou Hot Springs, Taipei 🇹🇼 | Onsen, Thermal Valley, Dihua Street, Raohe Night Market, Street Food

Today is the day we have waited for long time, that we go to hot springs for the first time. We chose Beitou because it is one of the most popular destinations if you want to try hot springs. We started early with quick breakfast at Taipei Main Station, then take metro to Beitou. You can get there by the Red Metro line from Taipei Main Station to Beitou, and change there to Pink line to Xinbeitou, it is really easy to go there, so you do not have to worry about. We booked ourselves private Onsen hot spring for two hours from local hotel. You could also look at public hot springs as well if you have more time. We have to say it was awesome. We felt fresh, enlightening after the bath, just like all the toxins went out from the body. After the hot springs, we started exploring the area. We walked toward Thermal Valley where water comes from underground as boiling hot. It is really nice, feels like you are walking to heaven because of all the steam from the hot spring lake. Then we visit to buy some souvenirs and Jenny got herself some stamps. We quickly stopped by local restaurant nearby to have lunch. Then we move to Beitou Hot springs Museum to know more about history. It is free entrance so it is a plus. Now we know why Japanese really like Tatami. We tried to sit on for first time and we fell in love. It has a cool feeling and comfortable. It was great experience to be there. After coming back from Beitou we took a quick rest at the hotel, then moved to Dihua Street. We would say it might be more fun to experience in day time than night time, because shops are more active. Next we headed to Raohe Night Market. Honestly, we did not enjoy much at this market. It is really crowded, small alley, more pricey than other night markets. If you are in the hungry mode, we recommend not to enter this market without knowing what you want to eat. We tried the most popular pepper buns and approved it is delicious. That is how our day ended. Hope you enjoyed the video!
