On this day, blessed with clear skies and cherry blossoms in full bloom, I finally got to ride the JR West KiHa 47, a train I’d been wanting to ride for a long time. Although the ride was only about two hours, listening to the distinctive sound of the KiHa 47 made for a truly enjoyable train journey. I didn’t go all the way to Toyooka; instead, I got off at Kinosaki Onsen along the way.
