Today we explore Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, one of the most breathtaking destinations in New Zealand. From Lake Tekapo, we traveled to Mount Cook to hike the famous Hooker Valley Track and the Tasman Valley Trail. Although ice and sleet made this beginner-friendly hike a little more challenging, the views of snow-covered mountains, glacier rivers, and floating icebergs still made it an unforgettable experience. We crossed swing bridges, stood beside glacial lakes, and witnessed the surreal turquoise waters formed by glacier melt. Seeing Tasman Glacier Lake up close was one of the most unforgettable moments of our Mount Cook experience. Watching icebergs float beneath towering alpine peaks felt surreal and humbling.
