How to Explore Christchurch and Discover Amazing Places by Accident | My First Night in New Zealand

After spending a week in Australia, I flew to New Zealand for the first time, and I was beyond excited. Christchurch was our entry point into New Zealand, and on my very first night, I didn’t really plan anything. I just knew I wanted to hit the ground running. Join me as I quickly settle into our Airbnb after flying in from Oz, then head out for a peaceful nighttime walk through some beautiful scenery—wandering along the Avon River, passing through the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, and eventually finding myself inside a mysterious and eerie building that I wasn’t even sure I was allowed to be in: Te Matatiki Toi Ora. This vlog reminded me that sometimes the best way to experience a new country isn’t through an itinerary, but through walking, curiosity, and having the courage to wander a little.
