National Shutdown | Vanderbijlpark | Economic Freedom Fighters | South Africa | Fujifilm xt30ii | 4K
Economic Freedom Fighters declared a National Shutdown on the 20th of March 2023, because of the rising cost of living, high levels of unemployment, load shedding, gender based violence, delipidated state owned companies, crime, the lack of free tertiary education and ordered the President of The Republic Of South Africa Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa to step down because he has failed to uphold his oath of office. Party members warned shops and factories to shut down to avoid looting on the day of the shutdown. 3 474 members of the South African National Defence Force were deployed across South Africa to assist the police with crime prevention until the 17th of April, which will cost tax payers R166 562 058. They accused the President of corruption because he failed to declare to customs the sum of $580 000 (R10 312 893.00) which was found under his mattresses and later stolen in his farm Phala Phala located in Bela - Bela, Limpopo. The President claims that the money is from proceeds of "Ankole Cattles or Buffalos" he sold to a Sudanese businessman Hazim Mustafa, which are yet to be delivered to him. According to the Reserve Bank Of South Africa the only legal tender which may be used to conduct business is the Rand. In terms of the Currency Exchanges Act 9 of 1933, foreign currency cannot, as general rule, be used as a legal tender in South Africa. The laws of South Africa states that once you become a President you are not allowed to run any businesses from the side, they're supposed to be ran by a trustee. He was also accused of gender based violence because one of the women who was an accomplice to the crime was kidnaped from Namibia and was tortured! #nationalshutdown #southafrica #economicfreedoomfighthers #malema #phalaphala #anc #vanderbijlpark #fujifilmxt30 #fujifilm #videojournalism
