Add some warm liquid, stir, and let it sit until foamy. • Add the egg, salt, remaining sugar, and softened butter to the starter. Stir well. • Pour in warm milk, mix, and gradually add sifted flour. • Knead a soft, slightly sticky dough. Don’t add too much flour. • Grease a bowl with oil, place the dough inside, cover, and let it rest for 10–15 minutes. • Punch down the dough, cover again, and let it rise for about 1.5 hours — until it doubles or triples in size. • Divide the dough into 10 pieces (about 100 g each), shape into balls, and rest for 20 minutes. • After 20 minutes, place the round dough balls on a baking sheet, let them rest another 20 minutes, then bake. • Bake at 180°C (356°F) for 18–20 minutes. • For hot dog buns: flatten the dough into rectangles, roll into logs, place on a tray, and let rest 20 minutes.
