Mannlgrat Klettersteig B/C – Schönster Grat in Berchtesgaden

The Mannlgrat via ferrata is one of the most beautiful ridge via ferratas in the Berchtesgaden Alps. The starting point is the Kehlsteinhaus above Berchtesgaden (1,834 m). From there, the route leads over the exposed Mannlgrat below the summit of the Hoher Göll. Those who wish can continue from here to the summit. The trail is well secured throughout with wire ropes, footrests, and ladders and is mostly graded B in terms of technical difficulty – making it accessible even for experienced beginners. The views down into the Salzburger Land, across the Steinernes Meer to the Watzmann massif are particularly impressive. Those who take the route will experience a first-class alpine panorama combined with a true via ferrata atmosphere. Plan on approximately 4 to 5 hours of walking for the entire ascent and descent; surefootedness and a head for heights are essential.
