Allgäu - Edelrid Klettersteig (B/C) am Iseler - Abschnitte 1 & 2

The Edelrid (formerly Salewa) via ferrata in Oberjoch, Bad Hindelang is a beautiful, moderately difficult via ferrata in the Allgaeu, which is also suitable as a practice via ferrata until autumn. It is divided into 3 sections, all of which can be done independently of each other, as a hiking trail runs parallel to them, which can be used to bypass the sections. You can start from the valley or take the Iselerbahn to overcome the first meters of altitude, then the approach to the first section of the via ferrata is only 20 minutes long. Here, the Vordere Wiedhag-Alpe offers a very nice place to stop for refreshments. The Schmugglersee (reservoir) may be used for swimming, but only during the opening hours of the alp. A jump into the water is worth it, the water is crystal clear! Hints: Access only from June 1 to November 10, no access possible in winter. Do not walk before sunrise / after sunset.
